Abstract
This module is designed to train on the use of AIPs developed to promote improved seed variety, appropriate fertilizer formulas, and good agricultural practices by agroecological zones (AEZ) in West Africa and Chad. This module aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the problems of agricultural yield and productivity, tools and methods to help select the best AIPs according to AEZ, and tools and methods for applying AIPs to improve agricultural yields and productivity. The target audience is producers, input dealers, and advisory agents. The objectives of this module are to help participants understand principles for selecting suitable varieties and fertilizers, the importance of AIPs, methods of AIP applications, environmental and health risks associated with using agricultural inputs, and how the FeSeRWAM platform works. A participative approach will be used, and the training will be conducted through presentations and discussions. Self-correcting exercises and discussions will enable knowledge testing.
