Abstract
Dr Donald L. McCune, Managing Director of IFDC (International Fertilizer Development Center), was awarded the prestigious Francis New Medal by The Fertiliser Society in London, England. The award recognizes his significant contributions to the scientific and technical aspects of fertilizer production, use, and application. Dr McCune emphasized the importance of efficient and productive agriculture in tropical and subtropical regions to meet developing countries' growing food, fiber, building materials, and energy needs.
