Abstract
Introduction:
The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) recently appointed Dr. E. T. (Travis) York as the chairman of its Board of Directors, succeeding Dr. W. David Hopper. Dr. York is a highly regarded agriculturalist with an extensive career in agriculture, both nationally and internationally. This report provides an overview of Dr. York's background, achievements, and vision for IFDC's future.
Background and Achievements:
Dr. E. T. York, known as Travis, holds the title of Chancellor Emeritus of Florida's state university system and is a Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS). Throughout his career, Dr. York has held over 100 appointments, assignments, and professional activities in more than 80 countries.
