Abstract
This publication highlights the launch of the "Strengthening Networks of Regional Market Information Systems and Traders' Organizations in West Africa" (MISTOWA) project, aimed at increasing agricultural trade in West Africa through improved market information access. The project focuses on strengthening market information systems (MIS) in West African countries to provide real-time and accurate information to farmers and traders, enabling them to make informed decisions in a competitive market environment. The publication discusses the objectives, implementation, and impact of MISTOWA, emphasizing its alignment with regional integration efforts and the potential benefits for agricultural development in the region. The project's funding, coverage, and the use of information technology tools to facilitate market information dissemination are also highlighted.
