Abstract
This factsheet presents a comprehensive overview of the fertilizer landscape in Ethiopia, focusing on trends from 2010 to 2022. Fertilizer imports have shown a remarkable increase, reaching 1,689,590 metric tons in 2022, with NP compounds accounting for 62% and urea for 37% of the total consumption. The analysis highlights seasonal fertilizer demand corresponding to major and minor cropping seasons, with key crops including maize, millet, and wheat.
