Abstract
The fertilizer port factsheet covers Abijan, Cote D’Ivoire. In terms of infrastructure, the factsheet covers dry bulk berths, vessel capacity, maximum vessel draught, access to the mainland which can be either by road, barge or rail, competing ports, destination countries of transit goods (Mali and Burkina Faso), and maximum bulb carriers. The storage area suitable for fertilizer consists of a total capacity of 250,000 m2. The warehouse has a capacity of 134,614m2. A total of 550,877 tons of fertilizer were handled in the last 5 years and the optimal offloading rate is 3000-5000 t/day. In operation aspects, 1% of spillage is recorded, and road traffic exiting the ports is medium with movements permitted only at night. The average number of rainy days is 124, and the main products are good and main port.
