AbstractMaintenance, safety, and housekeeping are crucial in bulk-blending facilities. Maintenance aims to ensure a longer lifespan of blending plants and avoid accidents. Various types of plant maintenance include routine, planned, corrective, and predictive maintenance. For good maintenance, facilities should ensure that one qualified staff member operates the plants, staff are trained, plants are kept clean and free from obstacles that may hinder operations, and the fastenings and mountings of moving parts are checked. Work areas should be kept neat, orderly, and free from hazards.
