AbstractThis training resource provides a detailed guidelines for the integrated soil fertility management (ISFM) of rice. Rice planting process involves selecting the most suitable variety, high-quality seed, healthy seedlings, field preparation and planting, optimum fertilization, timely irrigation, managing pests, weeds, and diseases, and harvesting and storing. When choosing a suitable variety, soil fertility, irrigation potential, possibility of drought or flooding, quality yield taste, and market price should be considered. The need for regular monitoring during the nursery phase is emphasized, as are instructions on transplanting to maximize yields. Recommendations on harvesting and handling post-harvest losses have also been discussed.
