AbstractSoil Values program aims to combat soil degradation and enhance agricultural productivity in the Sahel region. With a focus on integrated soil fertility management, the initiative targets improvements on 2 million hectares of land and supports 1.5 million farmers, emphasizing the involvement of women and youth. Funded by the Netherlands Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) with a budget of €100 million, the program addresses critical challenges posed by climate change, socio-economic instability, and poor investment in soil health. By fostering collaboration among local, national, and international stakeholders, the Soil Values program aspires to create sustainable agricultural practices and improve food security across Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire.
