| Abstract | This report focuses on the importance of agro-dealer development in providing farmers with access to essential agricultural inputs. The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) has been involved in training agro-dealers in various developing nations to improve knowledge transfer and enhance farmers' productivity. The report highlights several ongoing agro-dealer development projects, including the COMESA Regional Agricultural Inputs Program and the GADD Project. The role of agro-dealers as farmers' primary point of contact in obtaining inputs and advice is emphasized, and the success of IFDC's Dealer Training and Certification Program in Ghana is highlighted. The challenges of delivering quality agricultural inputs to farmers in developing countries are discussed, underscoring the critical role of agro-dealers in addressing this issue. IFDC's approach to agro-dealer development, shaped by years of experience in numerous countries, is outlined. The report also provides insights into specific agro-dealer development projects in Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, and several African countries.
