AbstractOn March 13th and 14th, Ghana held its 2024 validation workshop. AFO received support from the DG, the EnGRAIS project, the public sector, the private sector, and civil society organizations. With the guidance of AFO, the data generated and validated is accurate and reliable for decision-making in the private sector and by the Ghanaian government. In the two-day workshop, it was discovered that the fertilizer imported in 2023 was 292,249 MT, which was a 40% decrease from the one in 2022. NPK imports were 122,179 MT, which was a decrease from 272,106 MT imported in 2022. Urea imports, however, increased to 49,933. There was a slight decrease in organic fertilizer imports from 1,471 MT to 1877 MT in 2022. Approximately 95% of imported fertilizer in Ghana came from 12 countries, with the majority coming from Switzerland.
