Abstract
Since its establishment in Benin in 2003, IFDC has been instrumental in rural development through the implementation of diverse projects and development programs. These initiatives encompass the Regional Market project under the TAAT (Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation) program, the Programme d’Amélioration de la Productivité Agricole des Petits Exploitants en Afrique subsaharienne (PAPAPE), the WACIP project (West African Cotton or Smallholders Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Improvement Program), the C4CP (Country 4 Cotton Partnership) project, the Thousands to Millions (1000s+) project, the 'Toward Sustainable Clusters in Agribusiness through Learning in Entrepreneurship' (2SCALE) program, and the Approche Communale pour le Marché Agricole (ACMA) phases 1 and 2, among others, relating to integrated soil fertility management. This report offers an overview of IFDC's activities in Benin for the year 2022, outlining related investments, alignment with the Government's Action Plan, and significant accomplishments. The report emphasizes IFDC's mission to develop sustainable technologies that enhance soil fertility management and boost agricultural productivity while fostering environmental preservation, thus improving the well-being of producers and entrepreneurs.
