Abstract | IFDC aims to enhance food production with minimal land and water usage, improve climate resilience in farming, and reduce environmental impacts. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, IFDC staff and partners responded with strength. Projects like AFO launched a COVID-19 fertilizer watch for East and West Sub-Saharan Africa that shared updates on fertilizer restrictions and access across the continent. Mymar project from Mozambique provided access to PPE to farmers and the government. As a way of continuous training and demonstrations, the learning together but apart method was adopted, and for a constant flow of product, projects and business leaders met to assess the challenges and impact of the training provided on COVID-19. This report also discusses project progress and success stories. | |
